I graduated from the 3000 hr Massage Therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2009 and returned to WCCMT Victoria as a clinic supervisor from 2012-15.
Since then I have been in private practice, working with clients to find the right techniques and methods to encourage bodily awareness and mindfulness, wellness and health.
I have a special interest working with the physical symptoms that can arise from such conditions as:
– Chronic Illness and Pain
– Overwhelm and Stress
– Physical or Emotional Trauma
It is my intention that Massage Therapy treatments can be relaxing while attaining deeper, therapeutic results.
I aim to create a welcoming and trauma sensitive environment conducive to healing and well being.
The trainings and experience I bring to my practice cover various interwoven focus areas, including trauma recovery, somatic touch, self-regulation skills, and resilience. These focus areas ultimately weave together into a unified somatic approach to touch, awareness, and relationship.
Trainings that have influenced my practice:
Archetypes and Developmental Trauma, Peter Levine 2020
Somatic Experiencing Professional Training, 2016-2019
Healing Sexual Trauma, Peter Levine & Diane Poole Heller 2019
Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, Brigette Longeville 2016
